    Academic Advising

Academic Advising and Counseling is a very important resource designed to help students complete the requirements of the College and their individual majors. Students should meet with an academic counselor at least once a semester to decide on courses, check progress towards graduation, and discuss career and transfer options provided by the College. Advising is a shared responsibility, but students have final responsibility for meeting degree requirements. Counselors for Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences (STEM), New Media Arts, and Undecided Majors are located at the Maida Kamber Center in ‘Ilima Room 104 and may be contacted via email at mkcinfo@hawaii.edu or by phone at 808-734-9500.

    First Year Experience

If you are a first- or second-semester student at KCC and have questions about campus resources or need help adjusting to college, contact the First-Year Experience (FYE) program at kapstart@hawaii.edu or call 734-9245.
